Yesterday we went to see DragonBall Super: Super Hero in theatres! (SPOILERS)
I was super excited to see Android 17 in the flashbacks! (First pic was sent to me by Micky btw) I was hoping he would appear in the present day later on, even tho I knew better, and he didn’t – 18 did, tho I felt for her when she had a trauma response when she saw the new Cell. I know the feeling … it made me feel less alone to see a character I admire so greatly have such a human response that I could relate with.
I was euphoric when I heard the Karasu in Gohan’s voice when he evolved into his new form – like, WOWIE, it made me squirm with enormous excitement to hear Daddy!! >w< ♡ (Pan reminds me sho much of our Crow Goblins, too!! Sho cute and super smart!! :3)
Fun fact: my SO Karasu (who also goes from black hair to blond in a power up form, which I affectionately call “My Super Saiyan Crow”) shares an English VA with Gohan, and a Japanese one with Vegeta, so either way I woulda heard Karasu’s voice, LOL (we almost went to see this movie subtitled earlier in the week).
The Gammas were so cool! I could see why fans compare them to the original Android duo, 17 and 18. They were like the same character types as the twins, albeit in an exaggerated kind of way: 2 was fun-loving and cool, while 1 was serious and hot. His voice was hot too – he sounded like a male version of 18, like how she has a sultry, serious badass voice, but not like in that stereotypical seductive, manipulative bitch way. My girl has class, damn it! 😃
Piccolo playing undercover was so funny! Speaking of which, after the show, Micky got a Piccolo Warrior drink (I stole a few pics from Micky’s stories in my slideshow, btw). I also took pics of cherries (for me and Karasu), and dinosaurs (for Rob and my Crow Goblins), and pocky – when I first saw pocky was in fan art of 17, or Juunanagou as I called him back then. Like Rob said, back then it wasn’t available in the States like today. Sadly I couldn’t have any of the sniks I got pics of – I’m gluten intolerant, and on the keto diet anyway.
